The bag comes in a range of colours, depending on the fabrics available. To minimise its environmental footprint, Takeover Studio keeps additional fabric dyeing to a minimum.
There’s room for your everyday essentials, and a separate zippered pouch keeps smaller items together. The pouch is made from leftover parasol fabric, giving another surplus material a second life. As with the outer fabric, the material available varies, so each inner pouch is different.
Based in Stellenbosch, South Africa, Takeover Studio brings generations together through the art of bag-making. Older and younger makers share their skills, while creating valuable employment opportunities in their community.
