SWAZI CANDLES
A world of colour
Something special has been taking shape in the Malkerns Valley of Eswatini since 1982. Swazi Candles creates colourful candles that bring together patterns, shapes and craftsmanship. Each candle starts with layers of coloured wax, which are shaped into unique patterns using the age-old millefiori technique.
When the candle is lit, the outer layer comes to life. Light shines through the colours, turning each candle into a small work of art.
Craftsmanship that keeps burning
Behind the colourful designs are the craftspeople of Swazi Candles. In the workshop, patterns are shaped by hand and carefully applied to each candle. Knowledge and skills are passed on from one person to the next.
